2025 Fall Harvest Wine Journey
The month of November has been extremely pleasant and Pres. Jon took full advantage of the high 70 degree day of the 9th and organized the VBAC to participate in the annual Fall Harvest Wine Journey. This year the east side valley wineries included Solitary Cellars, Valley Oak Winery, Marichal Vineyards, and, to finish off the offerings of the grape, a nice washdown of some suds at Two Ravens Brewery Harvest Wine Journey.
Jon had the gang meet at the Starbucks in the Ft. Washington and Friant Road area. Jay & Susan had pulled up their MGA alongside Richard’s TR-3 and it wasn’t too much later that a young man approached Jay, Richard, & Morris and proceeded to tell us his story about his restoring an MG Midget with the goal being that car would be his daily driver. After giving him a welcoming club card and a registration form for the VBAC’s 2026 Roundup, he was on his way as other club members began arriving. Russ & Martin arrived in Russ’ TR-4 and Jon & Joanie decided to take the comfortable SUV instead of Jon’s Mini Cooper. Soon it was decided that there would be no more arrivals and the caravan started off on Friant Road.
The rest of the afternoon was split between sampling the ‘fruit of the vine’ and enjoying the sights, sounds, & smells of our LBCs. Of course, there had to be a photo of Russ’s favorite mode of transportation at Valley Oak.
The culmination of the afternoon was a late luncheon with some good-natured bantering at the Red Caboose.
Til our next outing:
Safety fast!
