Valley British Auto Club
Your British Car Connection in
the Central San Joaquin Valley
Fresno, California, USA
Welcome to the internet home of the Valley British Auto Club (VBAC). Since 1993, we have been a very active all-British car club, with members from throughout the central San Joaquin Valley - and beyond. Incorporated as a 501c7 non profit organization in September 2012, VBAC mainly provides Club affiliation for folks in Fresno, Madera, Merced, Mariposa and Tulare counties. Membership is open to British car and motorcycle owners and enthusiasts, eighteen years of age and over. Our Community involvement continues to grow as we benefit other local non-profits, as needs arise.
General membership dinner meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month in the Fresno/Clovis area. Our Steering Committee, the defacto Board of Directors, meets quarterly to help plan regular Club activities, discuss member input and coordinate efforts to further enhance the overall member experience. Our annual VBAC “Roundup” car show is held the last weekend in March, in Old Town Clovis. This two-day annual event consists of a beautiful Saturday morning drive through the Sierra Nevada foothills, followed by a luncheon held at one of Clovis’ many fine local restaurants. The car show itself takes place on the subsequent Sunday and is well attended by car owners from throughout California and often further afield. VBAC members regularly attend events sponsored by clubs from outside the area. These have included enjoying great venues on the Central Coast, in Southern California, up in the Gold Country, in the Bay Area and many other shows or special events in between.
The vintage and modern British automobiles our members enjoy owning and driving include marques from legendary manufacturers such as Aston-Martin, Austin, Austin-Healey, Bentley, British Leyland, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lotus, Mini and MINI, Morris, MG, Rolls-Royce and Triumph. VBAC is also very fortunate to have one of the Valley’s premiere British car restoration specialists as an active member of our Club.
We consider ourselves the caretakers of these fine British automobiles, many of which range from 50 - 80 years old, born in the Golden Age of British car manufacturing. Many of these marques were imported to the United States by the tens of thousands, to Americans who eagerly awaited their arrival. It’s quite exciting and extremely gratifying to own and preserve these great examples of British engineering.
If membership in the Valley British Auto Club sounds interesting, you’re invited to come and join us at one of our meetings or events. More information may be obtained by contacting one of the members listed on our Contacts page.
