Road Trip to MG2011
When I first heard about MG2011 taking place in Reno, I started planning. First was to mention the possibility I wanted to go to my wife. After a few times of casually mentioning it she figured out I was serious. Unfortunately she had no vacation left. Not good. But, my best friend for the past 34 years volunteered to fill in as co-pilot. Next step was to get all registered up. Next was to get the car ready…check and double check everything I could think of and put a few spare parts in just to be safe. OK, now what ?, wait….wait…..wait.

Well finally June 13th arrived, so off I headed to pick up my bud and away we went. Top down, good weather, car running great = LIFE IS GOOD. We were making good time, traffic wasn’t bad since we waited till after the morning rushes were done. We were doing great until we got to where the snow chains from a hard winter had left the road a bit rough, well real rough. The co-pilot tried to video how the MG was handling but couldn’t hold onto his phone to do it. (By the way did I mention my co-pilot is a die hard Triumph man). After what felt like hours of knocking out all my fillings, we got on some smoother road and the drive became more pleasant. Read the rest of this entry
